Two things. Technology and surfing.

I moved to the one place I could do both every day. Surf in the morning, build in the afternoon, overlap with everyone else's working day after that. The order isn't negotiable; the rest is.

Technology

I build the thing I'd have written the spec for.

Ten years of product, the last two with my hands on the code. The part I'm for is the one before any of that: finding the real problem under the stated one.

Surfing

Most mornings, with a coach, and a long way to go.

Started late, came back to it after a two-year gap, and now surf almost every day. The progression is slow and completely absorbing, which is the point.
